Let's Bring Back The Joy Of Teaching Writing

What If We Taught Composition Like Bob Ross Teaches Painting?

The vast majority of ELA teachers attest to having never been taught how to explicitly teach writing.

This being the case, how do we foster a classroom whereby students grow and flourish as writers?

Teach composition like Bob Ross teaches painting.

A vast majority of students don’t know how to capture their thinking cogently on paper, but when we “Bob Ross” our writing  instruction, the process gets demystified for them.

It’s time to engage our students and give them the tools needed to become passionate, confident writers.

And it’s time to give teachers the tools and training they need to teach writing in a way that makes it easy and fun while elevating themselves and their students as competent writers.

Starting with the foundational literacies housed in my Word Study and Nuance Academies, teachers will learn how to equip students with what they need to excel as writers.

And give their students the necessary tools to hone their voice, rhythm, and flow – all while sustaining clear lines of reasoning.

There’s a better way to teach writing.

A way that moves teachers and students beyond old teaching and learning paradigms to become masterful, engaged, confident writers.

I’m here to give you all the tools and strategies and teach you how to implement them in your classroom.

Happy teaching and happy writing.
